This is a video showcasing a girl's typical day of high school. It was super interesting to see the similarities and differences between my high school experience and hers. One thing that really surprised me was how all the students change into the same slides (slippers) upon arriving at school and change back to their normal shoes once school is over. I personally never had a school uniform, but I know others who have and none of the U.S. uniforms I have seen are as cute as the ones in this video. I really liked the ribbon bowtie that the girls wore because I thought it was super cute! Another thing I thought was really cool was how nicely they pack and wrap their lunches. At my school, no one would ever pack their lunches that nicely and most students would buy school lunch rather than pack their own. One thing that was similar between my high school experience and this girls is the classes. Overall, it seems that the courses offered are the same. High school in Japan looks super cool and I hope to be able to visit Japan soon!

    中学校の時に、クリスマスに私は祖父にスマホをもらいました。私の学校では、私は電話を持った最後の子供の一人でしたから、とてもうれしかったです。スマホはiPhone6Sでした。そして、リキッドグリッターのスマホケース持ちました。私はそのスマホをけっしてわすれません。

    今、たくさん物をしたいですから、たくさんお金がほしいです。たとえば、世界中をりょこうしたいです。そして、新しいふくを買いたいです。かん国は一番国に行きたいです。かん国でたくさんスキンケアとスキンのトリートメントがありますから、とても行きたいです。

In this video, the host of this channel goes around asking Japanese locals "What is something foreigners should never do?" I really liked this video because there are so many cultural differences and norms in America versus Japan and it's important to educate yourself and learn the customs of the place you're traveling to so that you can show respect. Some common themes I noticed in the video were that Japanese people view Americans as a lot more extroverted and friendlier. Japanese people are typically more reserved and value personal space. The piece of advice that stuck with me the most is that even if your Japanese is broken or bad, it is better to speak in Japanese to people rather than English. This is understandable but also hard to do at the same time as people tend to like familiarity and stick to what they are comfortable with. Even though I know basic-level Japanese, I would still be scared/intimidated to try and use it when conversing with a native speaker or someone who is fluent in the language. Overall, I thought this video was informative and recommend everyone to watch this video or one like it before traveling to Japan. 

テニスと私のかぞく！

サンフランシスコ子どもの時、一日に一回テニスをれんしゅうしました。かぞくはテニスが大好きですから、五さいからテニスをしています。今、私はノートルダム大学のコンペティティブクラブチームのためにあそんでいます。先週まつにノートルダムでテニスのトーナメントがありました。たくさんの新しい人に会いました。とても楽しかったです。

私のかぞく

 これらは母と父です。母はむらさきのTシャツを着て、あおいぼうしをかぶって、グレーのパンツをはいています。今、母はハワイに住んでいますけど、サンフランシスコにしゅっしんです。ざんねんながらりょうしんはせがひくいです。だから、私もせがひくいでう。父は私の左がいます。父はあおいTシャツを着て、あおいパンツをはいて、あおいぼうしをかぶっています。父はかみと目がくろいです。でも、母はかみと目がちゃいろいです。

これらは私の犬です。左がフィンです。右がバディです。フィンとバディはけがわ

がちゃいろいとしろいです。そして、二人ともしろいとくろいと金いろのバンダナをしています。フィンは九さいです。がバディは十一さいです。フィンとバディはとてもかわいい！かれらはすいえいとさんぽするが大好きです。
